Setting SMART goals - specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and timely, ensuring that they are aligned to your business objectives to accurately measure return on investment is very important. We also need to have a way to accurately track the right metrics.

We will start by identifying which problems we want to solve with Social Media - this could range from brand awareness to wanting a new way to drive traffic to your site.

✍️ What is the problem you want to solve?

What problems are you facing as a business that social media can help address (i.e., brand awareness, customer service, reputation, etc)?

✍️ What are your social media goals?

Click on each goal to see the definitions and which metrics are typically tracked for each. Determine which goals align with your brand’s problem listed above. Feel free to leave notes on each page so you can refer back to it at a later date!

Make the goals SMART by adding specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and timely metrics. You should use the metrics related to that specific goal and add specific numbers around them. For example, increase engagement by XX%, or drive Y leads to your website each month.

Instructions:

  1. Input the goal you want to focus on
  2. Note the relevant KPI that you want to target (utilize the list above for the relevant KPIs per goal)
  3. Hover over the Goal (i.e. Increase Brand Awareness) → Click Open → Add your three specific goals (minimum, medium, and maximum)
  4. Write down your Baby Goal
  5. Note when you want to complete this goal
  6. Once the goal is reached, check it off and add which goal was reached!

To reiterate the goals to yourself, write everything down below. This will help cement the goals in your mind.
